Please pray for wisdom and innovation to minister well in these circumstance

We are praying with thanksgiving for the report on the health of Bob and Debbie Shelton.  Bob has been released from the hospital and is home without need for oxygen.  Debbie is now recovering after a brief spike in lack of oxygen last weekend.  We continue praying for the recovery of Lisa Arrington,  Zachery Jean and Brittany Campbell.  Continue praying for Brittany who will have another procedure to repair the liver on May 19th.  Continue to pray for Scott and JiHoon as they continue the critical battle against a growing cancer in Scott’s body.  Pray for strength and courage for JiHoon as she faces these difficult da

We are thankful for the safe arrival in Arkansas for Matthew and Heather Bond as they launch their new ministry opportunity there.  We are praying for wisdom and care for the Ekklesia Community on Vancouver Island as they continue forward in caring for one another during this pandemic.

We are thankful for the report of a person receiving Christ and choosing to be baptized at Immanuel Christian Fellowship.  We continue to pray for the salvation of many of those in our community who we are seeking to reach one at a time with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Pray for Jeremy Choi (pastor of Victoria Korean Baptist Church) and his family as they grieve the loss of his mother. Her funeral service was May 05.

Pray for the our friends at Tarrant Baptist Association as they prepare to conduct the third ReFocus retreat with  several of our pastors in Vancouver.  The focus will be upon our the development of our mission statements and the discipleship strategies used by Jesus as demonstrated in the Gospel.  Pray for the preparation of the teams for the event this week.

As we continue to pray corporately, we need wisdom navigating local church partnerships and regarding future gatherings. As Towers Baptist Church continues to prayer walk we want to see people in Richmond know Jesus and see new gospel communities start to form in some or even all of the neighbourhoods. We have prayed through 18 thus far.

Pray for the father of Pastor Shahid as he awaits results  of non-Covid testing he is undergoing currently in India as they struggle through the overwhelming issues surrounding the infections related to Covid.

Please pray for Luke Watson as he plans to cross the border with his family on or about June 10.  He will be helping New Song and our association to plant a new church in the Brentwood Mall area. Pray for the location of a new home for them in the area.

Pray for Jake, Tao and John Zhai and his family as they arrive in Saskatoon out of Richmond Gospel Baptist Church to launch a new Mandarin Church.  Pray for God to open the doors in the city that the gospel might be proclaimed. Pray for their support and effectiveness as they initiate their first engagement to share the gospel.

Pray for the favour of the Lord as some of our planters/pastors are facing the financial realities of the pandemic and the rapidly changing programs of our government that may impact them personally in the financial resources they need on a daily basis.

Five of our churches are currently working on their governing documents that will be used for years to come as they seek Charity status with our federal government and as they guide their congregations to godly decision making and leadership.  Pray for the wisdom of the Lord for each team.

Continue praying for the churches listed in previous journals who are seeking pastoral leadership for their churches.  Pray for these pastors who have a heart for the lost and vision to reach the our region and call out disciplemakers and future missionaries from within our congregations
